Meet the NutritionFacts.org Team

Kristen joined NutritionFacts with extensive experience in operational leadership. As EVP, Operations, she oversees day-to-day functions, helps develop strategic plans, and identifies and optimizes organizational efficiency, all grounded in a commitment to support NutritionFacts’ mission. She resides in Washington, D.C., and in her free time loves to foster senior dogs.

Miyun serves as NutritionFacts’ EVP, Outreach. In addition to her work as Dr. Greger’s editor, she oversees the organization’s efforts to disseminate evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine information through its website, blogs, webinars, books, social media, videos, and educational campaigns. Prior to joining NutritionFacts, Miyun worked for animal advocacy charities for more than three decades. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her senior rescue dog and is passionate about live music.

Christi, our co-chief technology officer, oversees our technology architecture, operations, web, and mobile development. She has extensive industry experience in full-stack web development, web design, and user experience, and is passionate about making the world a better place using technology. Christi also enjoys code collaboration, advocating for elementary STEM education, and playing classical piano. She resides in Boardman, Ohio, with her family.

Dan is a web developer and is responsible for day-to-day technical tasks, including web development, maintenance, and administration of the NutritionFacts.org website. He has degrees in computer science and did his doctoral research in machine learning, but his career has focused on web development. Dan has been a plant-based eater since 2016 and can often be found in the kitchen with his daughter, proving what is good for you tastes great, too. Dan lives in northern California with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.

Hailey is our Chinese outreach specialist and manages our Chinese social media platforms, video translations, and localization projects. From working as a medical interpreter in California, volunteering in impoverished areas in the Philippines, facilitating personal development programs in Vietnam, to engaging in plant-based lifestyle activism, for the past sixteen years, Hailey has dedicated her life to community building and creating a better world for all.

Jenn, our editorial assistant, is responsible for editing and proofreading blog posts and other website content. She’s worked in journalism for more than a decade and is an avid reader. She lives in southern California with her two young children, who keep her on her toes, and enjoys hiking, photography, concerts, making things from scratch, and cooking for friends and family. She considers the exclamation “This is plant-based?!” the best compliment ever.

Kat is NutritionFacts.org’s graphic designer. With a strong creative background, Kat has used design to elevate businesses and nonprofit organizations they care about. When they’re not making designs, Kat works as a freelance illustrator in Upstate NY. They have a love for plant-based eating, rescued animals, and listening to good music.

As Special Projects Director, Kate works with the entire NutritionFacts.org team to incubate, test, and implement new ideas for spreading plant-based nutrition information. Prior to joining NutritionFacts in 2016, she spent a decade working in education and for education-related nonprofits. Kate lives in Pittsburgh. In her free time, she can be found behind a book or in the outdoors.

Lauren, our digital marketing specialist, came to NutritionFacts with a ten-year background in digital advertising and a keen interest in nutrition research. She manages our digital marketing strategy and campaigns. Born in California and raised in South Africa, Lauren has also lived in South Korea and Northern Virginia, and now resides in Cape Town, South Africa, with her partner and dog, where she enjoys hiking and cooking for her family and friends.

Lucy is NutritionFacts.org’s social media specialist. Passionate about health equity, she enjoys long bike rides and walks with friends and practicing yoga, and tries to read one or two books every week. Lucy currently resides in Minneapolis, but tries to get out of Minnesota during the dark winter months as much as possible!

As our outreach projects director, Marie plans, organizes, and oversees much of NutritionFacts’ activities and resources, including our videos, blogs, webinars, podcast, self-published books, and much more. When she isn’t orchestrating the development of our many outreach projects, Marie enjoys cooking healthy meals, yoga, and exploring national parks in her free time.

Stephan joined NutritionFacts as co-chief technology officer, where he works on improving and maintaining the website and apps. He has more than a decade of experience in web development, with a particular interest in performance and accessibility. Stephan is based in Amsterdam, where he enjoys hiking, birdwatching, and coding in his free time.
